This is a great first DVD player for anyone who wants good picture and audio quality and a fairly straightforward machine. It comes at an excellent price, and will last you for a long time. It does not come with some fancy features, like progressive scan, but it is still a good player for the average customer.

Along with DVD-R and DVD-RW, this DVD player can also play mp3s, CD-R, and CD-RW, which a lot more expensive DVD players can’t do. The NS315B is easy to install, and also easy to use once set up.

The remote does not control the TV, so if you want a universal remote, this is not for you. Also, the fast-forward/rewind buttons and the scene selection buttons are easy to confuse. All in all, this is a great, low-priced and easy to use DVD player for the average consumer.
